Navy Method

The U.S. Navy method uses circumference measurements to estimate body fat. It's widely used because it's simple, requires no special equipment, and provides reasonably accurate results for most people.

Army Method

Similar to the Navy method but uses slightly different measurement points and formulas. The Army method is also based on circumference measurements and is used by military organizations worldwide.

YMCA Method

Uses skinfold measurements with calipers to estimate body fat. This method can be more accurate than circumference methods but requires proper technique and calibrated calipers for best results.

Measurement Tips

For best accuracy: measure at the same time of day, ensure tape is snug but not tight, take measurements on bare skin, and use the same measurement technique consistently.
